Tailoring Class for Women and Girls in Kabul – October 2023 to April 2024

On October 7, 2023, a six-month vocational training program was launched in Kabul, Afghanistan, for women and girls who were facing serious financial difficulties.

This class was specifically designed for 15 women and girls, including widows and those in devastating situations. The program aimed to equip participants with practical skills in tailoring, enabling them to earn an income and support their families.

During the six-month training period, students learned the fundamentals of tailoring and gradually refined their skills. By the end of the program, they were able to start making clothes for others and generating income.

This initiative gave the participants not only a valuable skill but also the confidence and opportunity to become more independent. It also showed how vocational training can open new doors for women who are struggling with difficult circumstances
